Disadvantages of the Thermomix

Is Buying the Thermomix Worth it?🤔

While the thermomix is without a doubt one of the most useful kitchen appliances worldwide, there are a few cons of owning a thermomix. As mentioned in the other posts, the thermomix can cook a variety of different foods whether it be an Indian curry or a fluffy dessert. However, the thermomix does not fry or bake. That being said, if your dish requires either of those two things you may need other equipment. 

Because the thermomix can provide many functions and has several features, it is quite a big tool for the kitchen which means that it will take up a lot of space. Thus, the thermomix needs to be put in a fixed spot and have its own area for one's practical convenience. With this in mind, the thermomix would also require an electrical outlet, so it cannot be carried around from place to place. In addition, without a power outage, it cannot be used. 

Thirdly, the thermomix does take a while to get used to. It can definitely be a useful source in the long run in making cooking easier; however, if you are a brand new user, it will require practice and experience before becoming entirely comfortable with the tool. This means that if you are a traditional cook, your recipes and way of doing things in the kitchen may need to be converted.  

Finally, even though you are saving up money in the long run because of its multi-functional features, the extras and other services/repairs you may need to provide for your thermomix are quite expensive. The average cost of a thermomix can go up to $2,000, so needing to pay additional charges for extra services may become too pricey for many!
